Book Name - The Color Connection: From a Retailer's Perspective
Author: Joan Callaway book code: TCC-1
Review: "...by far the most complete gude to color analysis I've ever seen...and useful for the retailer as well as the consumer...Your suggestions turn fashion into
science - and previously only the most talented sales associates were able to distill such information and use it. By packaging it so cleanly and understandably, you've made it accessible to everyone. Practical, well guided and, above all, interesting." - Carrie McLean, Retail Editor, California Apparel News .
Book Name - Destiny of the Divas
Author: Ernie Johnson/James Floyd book code - DOD-1
Review: The first person/ present tense is staggeringly exceptional. Somehow it works better than past tense. It is a fast read and keeps the reader interested. It never gets off track. It has a good premise of hunting down child predators. Writer Rosalie Benet.
Review: I had the opportunity, and the pleasure, I hasten to add, of reading an excerpt of Ernie's work, "Destiny of the Divas". I will not comment on the story, because only critics can do that, and I am no critic. What I wanted to see was how he had handled the mechanics of a difficult writing mode, especially maintaining the consistency
required to -pull it off- and pull it off he did.
In the dark ages of my writing career, I worked as a copywriter for a few more years than I care to remember, so I am in a position to speak to the technical aspects of writing in the present tense (almost all copywriting is done in that mode). Although I found a couple of places where it appeared it was going to come unglued--it did not. I also found the characters became well-rounded (real) very quickly. Writer J. Richard Jacobs
Book Name - YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW
author - F. A. Goodwin
Good book by shelly nelson | |
| This is definately one of the best books that I have read in years. The characters were very real and you either loved them or hated them. I did not expect the story to end the way that it did. Jada certainly reaped what she sowed. Poor Ricky!! | |

Title - A Lifetime of Words
Author - Robin Gorley - Book Code - LOW-1
Review: Deeply Written: Though I am not a fan of poetry, Robin's work is something I consider very special. She blends humor with deep spirituality in a combination that is very easy to read, understand and leaves you feeling very good. She expresses her love of God in a simple, yet eloquent manner and teaches us God's love through her verse. Her collection of poetry spans 2 decades of her life and by reading what I have, I can tell that it has been 2 decades well spent living in love and beauty. If you are in need of inspiration, know someone who is, or are looking for a gift for someone who share's Robin's deep love of God, then buy this book! Jay Hurd, Author of Axcensionj: Book One of the Alliance Chronicles"
Review: Robin Gorley's, A Lifetime of Words is just that. She has captured love, friendship, children, life mates, and everything in between through the pages of her book. I could read this book, over and over. Her feelings leap off the page as you read through her inspirational, uplifiting and captivating words. They draw you in and allow you to feel what she feels. Robin does more than paint a picture with mere words; she gives us a peek into her heart, mind and spirit. Robin has given the reader the special gift of herself and her life experiences. A Lifetime of Words is a must for every poetry lover. Its the perfect gift and makes a great addition to any coffee table. It's bound to be a lasting conversation piece. Terri Ann Armstrong, Author of My Soul Has Spoken and Where Do I Begin?
Title - THE SHIFT WORKER
Author - ANNE ROGERS
Code - TSW-1
Review: If light, but sometimes moderately poignant poetry is your thing, then read this preview, then buy the book. If funny verse is preferable, then buy the book! There is a simplicity to these verses which are an absolute delight. I suspect the author ( pardon me if I'm wrong ) cannot, (like me as well,) do the real heavy serious stuff like the grand-master Gopal, which Lulu is lucky to have on its books, but it doesn't matter becuase this writer shows there's quality in the lighter, jauntier style of verse. 'Trouble in Heaven' and 'While Shepherds' are my favourite. John Haines - Writer/Author.
Title - MISSION 14
Author - ANNE ROGERS
Code - M14-1
Review: “I like the way it gets going right at the beginning, no long drawn out introductions to the scene or the characters, straight to the point. It kept me wanting to read more, as I got near the end of the story I didn’t want it to end. In short I couldn’t put it down. I love the twist at the end, what a surprise!” BOOK REVIEW BY : Sandy Keith.
